Current Bridges Projects
Willmot Indigenous Photovoice
Bridges worked with 15 Indigenous children attending Mt Druitt Indigenous Church and Willmot Public School. The students created a booklet of photographs titled “Why Wilmot is the best place to be.” The Photovoice project supported children to connect with their personal, cultural and community strengths and to increase their resilience to negative social pressures, including drug and alcohol issues. As a direct result of this project, Willmot Public School now has a whole of school pride project. The Photovoice project booklet continues to connect students to the broader community.
