Call to action
Bridges invites stakeholders, including funders, donors, other government and corporate representatives as well as community organisations and individuals to endorse the Bridges Network Approach and support its progression and use of its ideas by others – within Blacktown and beyond. Bridges calls on stakeholders to take the following action:
The Bridges Network Approach and Bridges
1. Endorse, collaborate on, and spread the Bridges Network Approach. 2. Support Bridges to gain longer-term funds to continue and advance its work in the Blacktown local government area, and to spread the Bridges Network Approach. Ensure that the funds covers infrastructure, management and administration costs and ongoing evaluation of the work. 3. Use the Bridges organisation as a case study to progress social innovations and argue for new supportive structures and systems.
Broader action
4. Develop other holistic, context-focused and collaborative approaches to address drug and alcohol issues and other complex issues. 5. Foster a more supportive environment for social innovations through development of new funding models. 6. Harness the strengths of small community organisations through more supportive networks and funding models.
